Well, my training program is in phases and this week takes me to phase 6 of 7, eep!
1) Goals for the week:
Healthy eating/drink more water
Do the exercises the chiro suggested
Once a run make sure I’m running at 180 steps (ish) per minute.

Workout: Yoga
Comments: Had a two week break so it was good to be back. It was more balancing...
Long run day
Another 14.5k in the bag!! This time at 20 and 1 intervals instead of 15 and 1. And with the chiro the shin pain was at a minimum too. Yay!

Week 20
Well the countdown is officially on. After 14.5k I’m feeling pretty good. Was starting to tire but could’ve kept running had I needed to so that’s promising. This week is an easy recovery week after the 14.5 last week so I’m looking forward to it.

CHIRO UPDATE
I figured I’d write a little about going to see the chiro since, like I was before going, a lot of people may be clueless as to what they do/what effect they can have. I went because I’ve been struggling with shin pain for a long while and never seem to be rid of it for good, no matter how good my ice/massage combos are.
Lately the muscles under my knees have also started to twinge at...

Week 19
I can’t believe I’m at week 19 already. Only 7 more, less than 2 months, and I’m supposed to be ready to run 20.1k…eep! By the end of this week I’ll have run 14.5, which is almost 50% more than I’ve ever run previous. I shouldn’t think about it like that but it’s hard not to. I’ve emailed a chiropractor that I’m hoping will be able to...

And now I remember why I stopped eating fried...
Had chicken fingers and french fries today for the first time in a long time. Haven’t had much deep fried crap in a few months. Anyway, an hour later I had a pounding headache which I still have, and I can feel the grease on my lips still too. GROSS. Think I just said goodbye to that stuff for good!

Week 18
Last week was intense, and awesome all at once. I’m not going to be able to make my strength class this Monday again, but am hoping to do Tuesday run/yoga, Wednesday at the pool, Thursday run and maybe hit up a class at the community centre, Friday maybe go to the pool. I’ll probably do my long run on Sunday because I have Saturday plans. The weather here is U-G-L-Y but being a...
